How will the student evaluations be conducted?

When do I get my adjunct/overload checks this semester?

Faculty teaching during the spring 2010 semester will receive seven adjunct/overload paychecks beginning March 11 ending May 20.

What are the 2009 - 10 Holidays?

The following list represents the agreed-upon paid holidays for Counselors, Librarians, PAs, Specialists and Coordinators for the 2007-2008 academic year.

September 7, 2009 - Labor Day
September 29, 200 - Yom Kippur
November 11, 2009 - Veterans Day
November 26, 2009 - Thanksgiving Day
November 27, 2009 - Thanksgiving
December 25, 2009 - Christmas Day
January 1, 2010 - New Year’s Day
January 18, 2010 - Martin Luther King’s Birthday
February 15, 2010 - President’s Day
May 31, 2010 - Memorial Day
July 5, 2010 - Independence Day Observed (for 12-month faculty)

How many ("N" or "U") days do I have this academic year?

Ten-month counselors and librarians - 39 N days
10-month coordinators (lab)- 44 N days
10-month PAs & specialists - 11 U days
12-month coordinators (instructional) - 9 U days
12-month counselors - 37 N days
12-month PAs & specialists - 9 U days

Why did I get bumped from my overload assignment?

Please see Bumping Process Document which indicates the seniority procedures used when class reassignment is necessary.

I think my class is oversubscribed. How do I find out what it should be?

Click on class size document to download the list of class sizes (In Adobe Acrobat format.) If you would like a paper copy, call the FA office.

I just received notice that my administrator is coming into my classroom. Is that allowed?

As long as the appropriate procedures have been followed, administration has the right to observe a faculty member as many times as is "reasonable." See (Article VII, D, 1-8) for the complete contractual provisions.

When am I eligible for promotion?

Minimum years of service are located in (Article VII, E, 3-5) of the contract.

What are the educational requirements for each level of promotion?

The educational requirements for all promotions are listed in Appendix I of the contract.
