How will the student evaluations be conducted?

When do I get my adjunct/overload checks for the Summer semester?

First 5-Week Day/Evening (June 2 - July 2) - July 3
First 8-Week Day/Evening (June 2 - July 22) - July 17 & July 31
Second 5-Week Day/Evening (July 7 - August 6) - August 14

What are the 2008 - 09 Holidays?

The following list represents the agreed-upon paid holidays for Counselors, Librarians, PAs, Specialists and Coordinators for the 2007-2008 academic year.

September 1, 2008 - Labor Day
September 30, 2008 - Rosh Hashanah
October 1, 2008 - Rosh Hashanah
October 9, 2008 - Yom Kippur
November 11, 2008 - Veterans Day
November 27, 2008 - Thanksgiving Day

How many ("N" or "U") days do I have this academic year?

Ten-month counselors and librarians - 37 N days
10-month coordinators (lab)- 42 N days
10-month PAs & specialists - 9 U days
12-month coordinators (instructional) - 7 U days
12-month counselors - 35 N days
12-month PAs & specialists - 7 U days

Why did I get bumped from my overload assignment?

I think my class is oversubscribed. How do I find out what it should be?

Click on class size document to download the list of class sizes (In Adobe Acrobat format.) If you would like a paper copy, call the FA office.

I just received notice that my administrator is coming into my classroom. Is that allowed?

As long as the appropriate procedures have been followed, administration has the right to observe a faculty member as many times as is "reasonable." See (Article VII, D, 1-8) for the complete contractual provisions.

When am I eligible for promotion?

Minimum years of service are located in (Article VII, E, 3-5) of the contract.

What are the educational requirements for each level of promotion?

The educational requirements for all promotions are listed in Appendix I of the contract.
