The Community Outreach Committee encourages members to suggest a variety of special events that will either raise awareness of, educate the community about, or raise money for our affordable housing initiatives. Here's a sampling of what we've done in the past year.
Cooking Demonstration and Four-Course Meal
to Benefit Affordable Housing

The Lake Shore Adult Home
To help raise funds for our Affordable Housing Fund, the Community Outreach Committee arranged a cooking demonstration and four-course meal with Chef Matthew Wahl, who was awarded a three star Excellent rating by The New York Times. The menu included Potato Gnocchi with Brown Butter Sage Sauce, Mesclun Greens with Toasted Goat Cheese Medallions and Raspberry Vinaigrette, Pan Roasted French Chicken Breast served with red wine risotto, broccoli rabe and mushrooom demi-glace, and Crème Brûlée. The Lake Shore Adult Home graciously donated the space and the ingredients for the menu.
