Executive Council Minutes

The Executive Council (EC) is the policy making body of the FA. Consisting of the six officers and 35 elected faculty to represent our members based on various constituencies, the EC meets once a month during the academic year, typically on the second Thursday of the month at 3:45 pm as well as on an as-needed basis.

In accordance with the FA Constitution and Bylaws, in addition to meeting monthly to discuss the ongoing issues facing our members, EC reps make union policy; uphold the terms and condition of our contract and Constitution & Bylaws; authorize formal negotiations with the administration and county; approve various FA positions as well as committee appointments and committee charges; determine the number of delegates at local, state, and national conferences and conventions; approve the FA budget; certify election results; and so much more.

Every FA member has a designated EC rep, and the official meeting minutes below record their good work in representing the constituents they were elected to serve.
