If you are an active covered member, you are eligible for this benefit. After the birth or adoption of your child, the Fund will pay $300 to help cover the cost of maternity care. If you and your spouse are both covered members, you will receive $600. If you have multiple births, you will receive multiple benefits. You are still eligible for this benefit even while on maternity leave if you are otherwise eligible for Fund benefits. This benefit is not diminished by any other medical benefit which may be received.

Obtaining Benefits: In order to claim benefits, submit a Maternity Claim form along with a copy of your child’s birth or adoption certificate to the Fund Office. All maternity claims must be filed within 12 months from the birth or adoption of your child.
